Thunder is the exciting second generation of our Lightning Product. Thunder connections include more access, a streamlined connector, and remote capability via the Acme Technologies Thunder app. See below for common errors and how to correct them.
Common Errors
Unable to connect
Unstable connection
Cannot find or access files
Update needed
Unable to connect
If you see an "Unable to connect" warning, this indicates an issue with either your router or with the Thunder connector. Unplug the Thunder connector, wait 10 seconds, and plug back in. After rebooting, check if you still see the error. If so, connect Thunder directly to your router and then attempt to restart.
Unstable connection
If you see an "Unstable connection" warning, this indicates an issue with your network. Open your network settings and ensure Thunder is prioritized in your network settings. Note: You may need to work with your ISP.
Cannot find or access files
If you see a "Cannot find or access files" warning, this indicates the Thunder Connector is unable to access your network files. Open your firewall settings and ensure the Thunder app is approved for Network sharing and confirm "share files over the network" is also enabled.
Update needed
If you are using the Thunder app, you may need to update the application to the most recent version. To do this, open your app store > select Thunder. Click "Update" to update the app.
